This section provides resources on why and how climate education can be implemented in our current education system in addition to the individual behavioral changes which may be overlooked.

Design for change - Organization which focuses on frameworks to engage students in the climate conversation and teaching them necessary skills to combat the climate crisis. 

Office for Climate Education - Provides lesson plans, videos, and articles to help plan lessons around climate change. 

Unleashing the creativity of teachers and students to combat c.c: an opportunity for global leadership - This article outlines both the importance of climate education and how it can be accomplished. Additionally, it provides resources for teachers and students on existing interactive activities, programs, and organizations to stay educated and up to date on environmentally related issues. (Note there is a strong science focus)

Virtual Forest - Project which promotes outdoor learning and engagement by allowing users to collect data related to seasons changes and changes in canopy structure. This research has the goal of “understanding the relationship between climate (change) and seasonal variability in vegetation growth”. 


Climate Time - Washington based organization that promotes programs to teach climate science for students in Washington state
