Conflict Resolution

The progress in the climate conversation is very dependent on many factors and stakeholder engagement is one of them. In some parts of the world, culture and religion are given as reasons for why participants hesitate to adapt to solutions generated for environmental problems. By bringing disputing parties to the table, problems such as water conflicts, energy disputes, and human-animal conflicts can be resolved through dialogue and collaboration. These factors lead to a lack of consensus, delays, and fewer bold solutions proposed. The good news is, environmental disputes are increasingly amplifying the voices of historically marginalized groups and engaging in a variety of stakeholder engagement methods to advance the climate debate.
